I took version 1.14 for linux from these forums as a starting point. Many thanks to Trent Gamblin for his help and support ! Details are here: Make sure you take the latest version of Allegro from git and not try to build a release version as a couple of issues were spotted with the OSX version of Allegro. Note that as Atomulator uses native dialogs we need to use Allegro 5.1, so replace the line:Īs per my comment on Curtis' page, I also had to use homebrew to install freetype. This certainly got me unto speed in Xcode and its developer tools. This was quite a challenge as it has to be compiled from the source. These have been depreciated for a while and the libraries now won’t compile under a modern version of OS X. Atomulator uses Allegro 4 which in turn uses the Apple Quickdraw libraries under OS X. My first challenge was trying to get a clean compile. it looked like an interesting challenge! Since then I’ve been captivated by the scope of the projects and enthusiasm of those on this site !! but as the source wouldn’t compile under OS X. I’ve never owned an Atom and don’t know much about the machine. I’ve always been interested in emulators and I stumbled across Atomulator on the web. I joined the forum because I was looking for a project to freshen up my rather old coding skills.
